Lyrics and Logic for the Love of the Lord
Seekers of The Truth. This page exists for the purpose of providing both Logical apologetics and Lyrics that help us see the incredible Love of our Lord, Who is The Way, The Truth, and The Light. It is still under construction and far from complete, and hopefully will continue to grow and evolve.
As I have meditated on this over the years, I have felt God direct me to capture some of these ideas in rhymes, others in poetic song lyrics, and some just in a logical thought procession, but all simply connecting some of His most Wonderful deeds.
Through this website, you will find two things to aid you in your search for The Truth.
One half of this website content (still under construction) will be some meditations that were part of my journey searching for The Truth. This is the LOGIC part of the website. I was brought up in the Catholic church learning about what Christianity meant, but as an Engineer in the making, I had a lot of doubts and questions that were not being answered. So I began a journey of searching similar to many Agnostics. At one point, I gave up, and decided that I must be an Atheist, because I could no longer believe in the idea of a God, that created. But in the eighth of a second it took be to say what it meant to be an Atheist, that “I Believe” there is no God, I realized that it was just as much of a “Belief” as the one I was struggling to believe in, that of there actually being a Creator. So that led me on a slow journey to first find the truth that either the world simply “came into existence” on it’s own, or it was created. And if it was created, then I needed to find the Creator. And thus began my journey that first led me slowly back to God, then in searching His identity, led me back to the Christian faith.
The second half of this website, is a collection of several rhymes that God has given me in my meditations, built around the wonderful creation and mysteries of our God. These are the Lyrics of Love for Our Lord. Because these are things that I have been working on for over 15 years, many of these are being published here first. Many of these touched on some of the lessons and discussions that developed during the years I was trying to teach the faith to some of our church’s 7th and 8th graders. Some of the others are interesting meditations on what it means to live our faith, which you also might find helpful. Many were based on topics and questions asked by my students over the some of those years. Others were based on meditations on retreats.
All of these rhymes are the result of different prayers and reflections on what God has taught in His Word, and some of the amazing insights they give. Some have combined insights being gained from science into the nature of our universe, and how they tie into what God has given us in His Word.
Each one is designed to be a “stand alone” rhyme, built around a specific insight into the nature of God or His Kingdom. One of them, which is built around the mystery of the dual nature of Christ (fully human and fully divine), makes even more sense when it follows or builds on top of the one on the Mystery of Trinity.
These have been compiled not for the sake of poetry, but because God can use rhymes to help us remember. They have been constructed in such a way that they can be sung or rapped or read, whichever way best touches your soul.
God has blessed us with a rich opportunity for our faith, when we search for The Truth. If we search for that Truth, we will eventually see His wonderful love through Jesus Christ and the gift of His Holy Spirit. And like it says in Psalm 19, the heavens (universe) declare the majesty of our God.
It is my hope that these might be helpful in your search for the Truth, and enabling you to remember how amazing our God and our faith is.
